Wild: A Social Brand
To understand Wild, you first need to understand the town in which it resides. Nestled in the panhandle of Florida, Destin is a small fishing village that relies very heavily on tourism visiting its pristine beaches and crystal clear water. There’s a shallow sandbar called Crab Island in which boaters pull up and drop anchor for the day to admire the tropical teal-blue water and enjoy the Florida sunshine. Crab Island presented a unique opportunity for Destin local, Michaela Partin. Michaela saw all these boaters and wanted to create an experience for the boaters there by selling cold coconuts and fresh fruit from an outrigger style boat.
When I was tasked to create the brand for Michaela, I wanted to make a fun and fresh brand that reflected the essence of the idea behind Wild, and set Michaela up with some social media best practices, the building blocks on which she could leverage social media to create awareness. With these building blocks, Michaela was able to grow her social media by the tens of thousands. Her quick videos frequently go viral on Tik Tok, and now people come to Crab Island specifically to get a coconut from her boat, and to take a selfie of course.
Wild’s Social Media:
- Tik Tok: 65k+ Followers
- Instagram: 7.6k+ Followers
- Facebook: 2.7k+ Followers
Not only did I create Wild’s brand and have done 100% of the company’s design work over the past few years, I also flew to Florida to paint one of her boats to reflect the brand I created. Now that’s going above and beyond for a client.
